Group Tours at Central Deborah Gold Mine
Mine Experience Tour - 75 minutes:
Don a hard hat and miner's lamp, descend 61 metres below Bendigo 's surface, and walk in the footsteps of miners who discovered almost one tonne of the world's most precious metal. Afterwards, be guided on the surface of the mine with its treasure trove of mining machinery, gold panning and interactive museums.
Underground Adventure Tour - 2 ½ hours:
For the complete experience, venture 85 metres underground to the third level of the mine. Gear up in overalls, boots, miner's hat and lamp. Climb ladders, work mine drills and search for gold - finders keepers. Lunch or afternoon tea is also served underground in the Crib Room. Afterwards, be guided on the surface of the mine with its treasure trove of mining machinery, gold panning and interactive museums. Note: children must be at least eight years old.
Guided Surface Tour - 45 minutes:
Be guided on the surface of the mine with its treasure trove of mining machinery, gold panning and interactive museums. Afterwards, climb the poppet head for one of the best views of Bendigo .
