Gear up in overalls, boots, miner’s hat and lamp. Climb ladders, work a mine drill and search for gold with finders keepers!

Descending to the third level of the mine, 85 metres underground, you will be mesmerised by the lure of gold and the stronghold that it had over people as you explore the underground tunnels, drifts and stope workings that still contain gold veins.

This tour also includes a ‘miner’s lunch’ served underground in the Crib Room where you will get a delicious taste of what life was like working underground.

Afterwards, explore the surface of the mine with its treasure trove of vintage mining machinery, gold panning and interpretive museums.

Tour Duration: 2.5 hours

Please note: Children must be at least eight years of age to complete this tour and everyone who takes part in this tour is required to wear a hardhat at all times. This tour does require ladder climbing and a certain degree of fitness is required to complete this tour. Overalls and boots are supplied. Bookings are recommended. Maximum of 10 people per group.
