The Central Deborah Gold Mine (CDGM) Revitalisation is made up of 16 different projects and has been designed so that it could be delivered as one big project, in stages or as individual projects. With a $2.915M election commitment from the Australian Government and plans for Stage 1 projects, we are hopeful of starting works towards the middle of 2026.
Stage 1 includes a major refurbishment of the existing Visitor Centre with a new café kitchen and outdoor seating; raised tram platforms in the Tram Barn; the existing artificial creek upgraded to allow for gold panning; early goldrush and indigenous themed landscaping; an access ramp and new toilets at the southern end of the Gold Museum; and the replacement of around 175m of perimeter fencing (around 70m is shared with our neighbours).
